Party Bingo, one of the most popular online bingo sites in the world, is running “The Genie Of The Lamp” promotion throughout the month of May. Regular gamers will be able to email a wish for every $100 they deposit into their account and the most popular wish (voted for from ten random entries by the site’s players) will have their dream come true.
The competition actually started on May 1st but it will continue to run until May 22nd so there’s still plenty of time to make your dreams come true. The entry requirements are simple – whenever you deposit a total of $100 into your account you can email Party Bingo and give them details of your wish.
On May 22nd, 10 wishes will be chosen at random and displayed on the Party Bingo website. All site players then have the opportunity to vote for the one wish that they believe to be the most deserving. Party Bingo will make that wish come true up to the value of $10,000. There are no limitations on the number of wishes you can make, or subsequently the amount of money you can deposit.

Finland’s state run gaming commission has awarded the opportunity to provide the platform and related services for a Finnish national online bingo to Boss Media and its parent company GTECH. The online gaming industry in Finland is managed and governed entirely by the state and only Veikkaus and two other companies are currently entitled to operate or advertise for Finnish players.
It is Veikkaus, who also currently manage the Finnish Lotto, that has chosen GTECH for the role. GTECH, and its various subsidiary companies, have been responsible for some major online gaming coups. They have also recently established the first legal sports lottery in Taiwan.
Lottomatica posted strong results for the first quarter of 2008, an announcement made at the same time as the news regarding the Finnish bingo site. Lottomatica is experiencing fairly serious international growth and the introduction of the first bingo website in Finland will only further bolster their already impressive resume.
GTECH creates software that is used by websites and companies around the world within the bingo and other gambling industries. While they largely concentrate on Lotto systems, they do also create bing software – the same software that will be used by the Finnish National Bingo site.

A normal dispute between two bingo players turned into a physical one last Tuesday night, at St. Joseph Church. The first person to place a complaint was an 81 year old Youngston woman.
The woman had come to the Austin town police station on last Thursday morning to place a report that an 82 year old Austin town woman had intentionally bumped into her when walking out of the church food line at 8 pm, Tuesday.
The result of this intentional bump made the woman fall back a few steps, which in turn blurred her vision. According to the woman, the two women have had numerous disagreements about bingo in the past; however this was the first time that any physical methods were used.
The Detective Sgt from Austin town, John Myers said that though he has not spoken to the women as yet, he surmises that there will be no need of using any criminal charges to settle the matter.
The most he would do was to counsel the women to stay away from each other, and then seek help from the management if there were any tensions in the future. He says that it was quite normal for tempers to rise about bingo games in the past.
The usual cause would be players who had set their game cards and markers, find that someone had moved them. However it is quite rare for women of that age to fight at bingo; but not impossible.
