Winning the house prize of the Majestic Club of South Shields was quite satisfying to a 61 year old retiree bingo player. However by the time he reached the door of the club, he was in for a bigger surprise.

This was because within 20 minutes of his numbers coming up, the other bingo venues of the country had completed the link game. And this was when it was revealed that no one else in the country had reached a full house in such a few numbers of balls.

With this, the plucky punter not only won the house prize, but also the 40,000 pounds UK bingo jackpot, just before leaving for the door. He told National Bingo that both he and his wife were already walking out of the club when this winning was announced.

He was truly stunned on learning about the win, and the amount of money he had won. In fact, the husband and wife were so stunned that they started jumping about.

It was in April 2007 that the Majestic Club had last had reason to celebrate with one of its players claiming a national jackpot of 100,000 pounds.
