Amy Winehouse is probably not the first celebrity you may associate with the game of bingo, but apparently the North London star has developed a new addiction – this time to bingo and Scrabble!

According to her pals, Amy loves a bingo session and is picking up some new lyrics with “Two Fat Ladies” (88) and “Danny La Rue” (52).

Aisleyne Wallce, Big Brother pal to Amy has reportedly said:  “Amy really loves bingo! I know it’s not very rock and roll – but it’s true, mate. She loves a game. And she likes Scrabble too!”

Other celebrities who have loved bingo include James Nesbitt, whose first job was as a bingo caller and even Sven Goran Eriksson has been getting into it by organising special bingo session for his players.  Robbie Williams played at a Stoke local bingo club and played bingo against Daryl Hannah in the music video Feel. 

With all these celebrities loving and playing the game, bingo has really developed a younger following in recent years, a trend that looks set to continue according to recent statistics released by the Bingo Association.  Next time you play online bingo, you never know, you could be playing alongside Amy Winehouse!
