Online Bingo Offers Sense of Community and It Is Fun

Filed under: Bingo Articles — 25 Oct 2007

The article Why Are People Playing Online Bingo struck home with me and my guess is many people feel the same.I feel that internet games in general are reviving a part of human culture that has been in danger of extinction. With all games it needs to played with responsibly but when done so it can generate multiple benefits.

I remember when my Mother would go off to church and play Bingo in the assembly hall for hours.  Not only did she enjoy the game but also the social interaction.  Some of my best playmates came from her Bingo friends.  But as time went on my Mother’s life became too busy to indulge in this activity as she found herself committed to P.T.A. meetings and the like. At one point she worked nights for a number of years which made physical attendance impossible.  She’s not the only person to have an increasingly demanding life push her away from the activities and people she really enjoyed.

Playing online games serves to revive past enjoyments and broaden one’s circle of friendships.   As you explore the different Bingo sites and play the various versions of the game you find your list of friends steadily increasing.  The generosity of the online sites is great and serves to enhance the gaming experience.  Other players share their views and recommend other sites they’ve enjoyed. You find yourself speaking with individuals from many different walks of life and engaging in conversations involving things besides the game.  I’ve picked up several good recipes when chatting with friends after we’ve finished playing.

The work day can be tiring regardless of whether you’re working outside, in the office or at home.  Engaging in online Bingo where you can talk to friends and become engrossed in a stimulating game gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day.  When I’m busy preparing a spreadsheet or the like for a meeting I often think about how nice it will be to play Bingo and forget about the office for awhile.  It becomes the carrot at the end of the stick and I find my mood lifted by the thought of a little indulgence.

I’ll come home after a busy day, get everybody and everything fed, take a hot shower and change into relaxing clothes before turning on the computer.  I don’t think I would be so likely to go out to play at a community hall as I have enough after work engagements involving my children’s activities.  I cherish the times I can come home and stay there without having to dash back out to complete a mission.

Often I’ll sit at my computer with wet hair and wearing my wacky night shirt and my fuzzy slippers with dog faces as I  log unto my favourite Bingo site.  I’ll have a cup of steaming hot tea besides me and the small stuffed bear my son bought sitting on my speaker. As the rest of the house sleeps I gradually unwind despite the game’s intensity.  The stress slips away as I chat with friends and track my progress on the screen..  After playing for a bit I usually stay online to talk awhile until I feel tired enough for bed.  Okay, I will admit that when I get a Bingo I’m awake a while longer but the thrill of winning is worth the little extra time.  Besides, sleep still comes easily enough after a session and I usually wake feeling ready for the day.   In short Bingo is a fun time!

Jackpot offers you a chance of earning 10% October Cashback. It is between 18th and 21st October that you get a 10% Cashback on all your total losses, if you find luck is not in your way. However if you are lucky, you might just become Jackpotjoy news by dealing with the Deal or No Deal Jackpot of over 350,000 pounds. All that has to be done is to register, and take part in the promotions offered by Jackpot.

And for all those people who love playing games in JPJ find that there is good news here for them too. There are five jackpot prize draws that have just been started where you can use your Jackpotjoy points to win yourself a Play station 3, Nintendo Wii, a luxury Health Spa Day, a Chocolate Fountain or a Handheld PDA.

If you are trying your luck here in this draw for the first time, you can play for fun and accumulate prize points. These points are then used to enter prize draws. It is also possible to get daily prize points by playing in the Free Bingo Scratchcard game provided by JPJ.

Though the PS3 competition ends on the 11th November and the other competitions end by 17th November, it is suggested to enter these competitions by 10th and 16th respectively. Though many people think it is not possible to win in these competitions, it is not at all true. Its worth taking a chance in winning for if it is only if you do try that it is possible for you to win a prize, isn’t it?

Bingo and Balance

Filed under: Bingo Articles — 24 Oct 2007

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person who is tired of hearing about the health issues of being over weight. Certainly there are valid points raised, but is it really necessary to harp on it until all you want to do is tell the government to go eat a carrot? Yes. Yes. Yes. I know that exercise is important and that too much time is spent in front of the computer, television and playing video games. I started walking my dog every evening and yes, I do feel better. Okay, I’ll admit that I have lost pounds. But I’m tired of hearing the lectures.

It is time, in my view, for a little balance. After all the outcry about how on line games, Bingo is my choice, are terrible for us because they are conductive to us sitting about instead doing more active things I would like to counter with the fact that your mind needs to exercise as well. I’ve read several articles on the subject with “Online Bingo Is Good For Your Health” being one of them. This confirms what I (along with others in our couch potato world) have long suspected. The mind needs to work out also and Bingo (along with other games) is a perfect vehicle.

Playing Bingo helps the brain’s reflexes since you play for a sustained length of time and the simple activities involved in playing demand that you react quickly. It sort of wakes the mind up and trains it to think at a faster pace, strengthens its memory and quickens processing time of environmental information. In short you are exercising your brain and studies show that there are benefits to be gained.

I am not saying we should forget about our bodies, but there is room for balance in the pursuit of overall health. I do enjoy walking Cassie, our golden retriever, probably as much as she enjoys seeing the outside world. Before I began the half hour ritual my muscles were sore and I tired easily. Now I smile when she sits by her leash, thumping her big tail and looking at me with her large brown eyes. “Are we going now?” The words are almost audible as she looks at me.

Yes, Cassie, we are going for a walk and then I’m going to unwind by plopping down in front of my computer and playing Bingo. The great thing is I’m going to enjoy both activities and benefit from them as well. I don’t think we should sit all day at the computer or eat an excess of sweets or something else that’s sinfully bad for us but an activity such as gaming balanced with a basically healthy diet (well, most of the time) and daily exercise can help lead to a happier person in general..

After I finish mentally running the track and maybe a few jumping jacks for good measure I’ll visit the chat room and talk to someone about life in general. I haven’t been able to unload about the silly incident at work yet today so maybe I’ll give someone a good laugh before bedtime. What’s great about most sites is you can communicate with others if you want to or just enjoy a quiet game by yourself. Whether or not you decide to throw in the added bonus of socializing your playing time is far from a waste of time. So indulge in the things you like, happiness is also a factor in achieving wellness.
